Tickets to 'Milk'
Thanks to the generosity of Paramount Pictures, Reel Queer Inc recently gave away 5 double passes for 'Milk' to Out Takes supporters. The five lucky winners were notified by email. There were two winners in Auckland, one in Wellington and two in Christchurch. 'Milk' opened at theatres around New Zealand on 5 February. • In December 2008, Wellington City Council provided a grant of $7,000 from the cultural funding pool for the Out Takes 2009 film festival in Wellington.
  
• A networking group for lesbian, gay, transgender, bisexual and related queer groups in the Wellington region, Rainbow Wellington became an Out Takes sponsor again with sponsorship of $500.

Fundraising to bring back Out Takes - our supporters in 2008

• Wellington Gay Welfare Group (Gay Wellington) sponsored and organised complimentary drinks and nibbles for filmgoers attending the Wellington screening of Through Rainbow Coloured Glasses in September.
  
• Wellington City Council continued its generous support of Out Takes, being the first to provide sponsorship (of $5,000) for the 2008 fundraising events.
  
• GABA, the Gay Auckland Business Association's Charitable Trust, granted Out Takes $2,000 to assist with fundraising and promotion to enable a festival in 2009.
  
• Gay NZ.com, supported Out Takes by promoting the festival and our sponsors.
  
• Frozen Flame Media donated design services for Out Takes June 08 event advertising flyers.
  
• Organisers of another stunning queer event, Queen of the Whole Universe, donated tickets to QWU (including entry to the after event function).
  
• Bats Theatre gave Out Takes a complimentary double pass pack and a tee-shirt as a lucky prize for our Wellington film-goers.
  
• Anika Moa generously donated signed CDs as lucky prizes for the film events.
  
• Long time Out Takes supporters, Unity Books, gave a cash donation.
  
• The Grape & Olive, Martinborough continued their support of Out Takes with a cash donation.
  
• The classically elegant Museum Hotel in Wellington donated luxury hotel packages for four lucky winners attending the 2008 film events.
  
• Aro Cafe donated bags of their sumptuous Aro Coffee for audience members at the Wellington fundraising screenings.
  
• The delectable Butlers Chocolate Cafe sponsored the Wellington audience's gift bags - chocka with choccie!
  
• Glitter Films (Guy Love and Girl Love) gave a cash donation and provided gift bag goodies.
