International Male

The cream of queer filmmaking from around the world.

International MaleA Crimson Mark is a beautiful period film set in Korea about forbidden love between two men in the court of a boy King. In Machulenco David, a writer kidnapped by the Argentinean military dictatorship, asks for a last wish before being executed and the wish comes true. A young boxing champ in Grenoble’s Gypsy community learns about masculinity from his gay older brother in Kissing Tigers. Elías, a Spanish high school teacher, has to face the fact that he is no longer Invulnerable after finding out he is HIV positive – how to tell the ones he loves? And poor 9-year-old Marco Solo still shares his parent’s bedroom. Obsessed with Dame Edna, he uses his vivid imagination and warped Catholicism to seek his own space.
