Nurit, a forty-year-old bus driver, reaches the point where she can no longer stand the constraints of her life. Leaving behind her jobless husband, she takes her two kids to the big city, away from bomb threats and her unfulfilling marriage. Once in Tel Aviv though, life as a single mom is not easy and Nurit finds juggling the demands of her job and her children is more than she can handle. She hires Mushidi, an illegal immigrant from Ghana to be a live-in nanny, and Mushidi enters not only her home but her heart. When their friendship blossoms into something more Nurit is forced to make a tough decision. A poignant and moving portrait of life in Israel, Round Trip examines the sometimes circular routes we take in life and the uneasy choices we must make along the way.
