A wonderfully queer romantic comedy from Russia. Lovers Vera and Timofei are successful young professionals living hectic lives in ultra-modern Moscow – lives full of the capitalist energy of ambition, consumption and stress. One day Vera returns home from work to find Timofei in bed with Uloomji, a beautiful young Kalmyk man. There begins an increasingly strange set of sexual misadventures as the hapless trio are embroiled in a romantic triangle. Things only get worse when Uloomji’s parents arrive in Moscow and are appalled by their son’s unconventional lifestyle. You I Love is slick, energetic and ultra-cool – a rare depiction of colliding sexual attitudes among a new generation of young Russians.
