Welcome to Out Takes 2005

Reel Queer are delighted to present Auckland’s eighth annual Out Takes gay and lesbian film festival. This year’s line-up of recent queer cinema from around the world is one of our best ever!

We’re delighted to be screening so many New Zealand films, including world premieres of Stewart Main’s eagerly anticipated feature film 50 Ways Of Saying Fabulous and also Sleeping On The Floor, which has been a labour of love for Wellington filmmaker Ross Bevan. There are several Kiwi short films as well so make the most of these opportunities to see our own queer stories on screen.

Most of the films at Out Takes 2005 will not return for general release – they’re on a busy circuit of international fi lm festivals – so be sure to plan your weekends carefully (particularly Queen’s Birthday) so that you don’t miss out on the many festival highlights on off er. We trust that you will enjoy what is possibly the most varied selection of queer films we have brought to New Zealand to date.
